About

Florencia, next to her hand made and hand processed textile piece created in November of 2024 for the project “Francilaines”, about the creation of a wool short-circuit in Paris

I am a freelance accessories and object designer from Costa Rica. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in New York, I began designing accessories for heritage American brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Steve Madden, and GAP, as collaborating with the cult alternative fashion houses Betsey Johnson and Anna Sui.

In recent years, I have made Paris my home and expanded my expertise in object design by apprenticing with Frédéric Beausoleil in the craft of eyewear design. In 2024, I completed the Mastère spécialisé en Création & Technologie Contemporaine at ENSCi Les Ateliers.

Ingenuity, sensibility and a touch of humour are constant features of my work. My illustration skills and thorough knowledge of fashion history enable me to create shapes that tell a story, while my artistic intuition and multicultural background give me a keen sense of colour and craftsmanship.

I enjoy discovering specialty coffee, birdwatching and hiking in the Costa Rican cloudy forest.
